Sardo's garden started with a very humble beginning. Eliser, mostly called by his friends Sardo, started when has was in high school as a garden helper of his Uncle who has a well-known landscaping business where he learned the step-by-step process of creating a garden. When his uncle died, he worked with his brother-in-law on his landscaping projects, learning and molding his skills in landscaping. He worked hard, saving his small salary to finally get a small garden of his own. When he married his wife Lai, she stopped working to help her husband in the garden business. Lai, with zero knowledge about ornamental plants, quickly learned the names of their plants, and the propagation techniques and study how to have a wider market and create a simple webpage of their garden on the multiply site and advertise on different sites then. They register the business in 2006 when it is profitable enough to survive. They also joined garden shows where they get new clients. They got a lot of landscaping projects in Ayala Alabang but their big break was when a client trusted him enough to do the landscaping of her 1-hectare property in Laguna. The project was huge and it was the first time that they've given a project like that although a little bit scared, they accepted the project and passionately finished it. Their client wants to have the garden finished fast because they will have guests coming so Eliser together with his team needs to work night and day just to finish the garden in a very limited time. When the project was done, the client was surprised and commended them for being true to their promise that they can make it even with the short time given. And the client openly admires the landscaping skills and the beauty of the garden, the composition of the plants, and the efficiency and how fast they work to get it done.
